Frequently asked questions

Which GPA scale does it use?

The standard US 4.0 scale: A = 4.0, A− = 3.7, B+ = 3.3, B = 3.0, B− = 2.7, C+ = 2.3, C = 2.0, C− = 1.7, D+ = 1.3, D = 1.0, D− = 0.7, F = 0. Some schools award 4.3 for A+ — check your registrar if that applies to you.

How is cumulative GPA calculated?

Cumulative GPA is the credit-weighted average across all terms: (previous GPA × previous credits + this term's quality points) ÷ total credits. Enter your prior GPA and credits and the tool does the math.

Can I enter percentage grades?

Yes. Switch to percentage mode and type scores like 87 — the tool converts them using a common scale (A− starts at 90, B− at 80, and so on). Grading bands vary by school, so verify against your syllabus.
