Compress PDF Online
Reduce the file size of your PDFs. The tool removes redundant data and, at stronger levels, re-renders pages at a lower resolution — great for email attachments and upload limits. All processing stays on your device.

Medium/strong compression flattens pages into images: searchable text, links, forms and signatures are lost. Keep the merged original if these matter.
Example and output check
Start with Light to re-save PDF objects. Compare the actual output size. For scanned pages, Medium or Strong can reduce image data but must be reviewed at the intended reading or printing size.
Before you use the result
Medium/Strong rasterize pages and can remove selectable text, links, forms and signatures. Physical page size is preserved. A smaller file is not guaranteed; keep the original.
How to use the Compress PDF
- 1 Drop a PDF file into the box, or click to browse.
- 2 Pick a compression level: Light keeps quality high, Strong maximizes size savings.
- 3 Click "Compress PDF" and download the smaller file.
Frequently asked questions
Why did my text PDF barely shrink?
Text and vector documents may already be compact. Rasterizing them can increase size, so the tool falls back to an object re-save when rasterization is larger.
Which mode preserves searchable text?
Start with Light. Medium and Strong turn pages into images when the rasterized result is smaller, losing selectable text.
